Northern Maine is known for its big bodied Bucks. Mature bucks in our area can dress out in excess of 200lbs. The deer density is low, and it’s a challenging hunt in the big woods of Northern Maine, but we live for the challenge!
We have stands or blinds set up on deer funnels and pinch points in the area. These northern bucks cover a lot of ground searching for does to breed. Our stand locations utilize natural features in the terrain that force deer to move through them.
Tracking snow is common towards the end of rifle season, and during the muzzleloader season. Many a buck in the region has fallen due to this method!
